Ms. Yanira Vanegas brings 15-plus years of successful experience in federal information technology services, logistics, operational administration, information technology inventory control, Configuration Management, and lifecycle control review. She is the Program Manager for the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Joint Service Provider (JSP) Platform Services. She has previous experience in the Air Force District of Washington.
Yanira currently develops and enforces configuration and data management processes to manage configurations of hardware, software, engineering documents, design drawings, and engineering changes. In other projects, she has created an accurate plan for hardware refresh cycles by tracking the age of assets and tracking ‘problem’ assets by linking them to incident and work order tickets. She led and coordinated the annual inventories of 105,000 IT hardware assets by transitioning the process from manual PDFs collected in a SharePoint site and various sites to integrated and automatically updating Configuration Items (CI) in the CMDB from an electronic hand receipt application in the storefront.
As a Marine veteran and federal contractor, she has trained, supervised, and supported hundreds of team members. Yanira currently holds a Bachelor of Science in Management Studies.
